Tired of cooking at home? We get it. There are some great Asian restaurants within easy driving distance of Ypsilanti, MI in your speedy Honda Accord, so hop in and head out to one of these spots when you’re hungry.

Lucky 7 Chinese

You’ll find the spot in the local strip mall, and it serves of all your favorites in a very efficient, down-home manner. You can eat in, take out, or get delivery. They’re at 1777 Washtenaw Ave, and they’re open from 11am until 10pm Tuesday through Thursday and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Their Sunday hours are noon to 10pm, and they’re closed on Mondays.

Try one of their popular appetizers, like the pork wontons or the chicken eggroll. Everyone loves their steamed and fried dumplings, too. All the soups are worth trying, but we are especially fond of the Szechuan pickled cabbage and pork, which is spicy and delicious. If you like spicy, try their Yu-Hsiang Chicken, too. If you have a sweeter palate, try their sweet and sour chicken or the delicious lemon chicken.

Lan City Noodles

If you have never tried hand-pulled noodles, you simply haven’t lived. This is a beloved tradition in China that has been brought to our town by the lovely people of Lan City Noodles. You’ll find them at 2612 Washtenaw Ave. They’re open from 11am until 9pm every day of the week, and they have online ordering. The food here is incredible, and the service is top-notch.

OK, so we said you should try the hand-pulled noodles, and you should, but you should also be sure to try their homemade scallion pancakes. These things are absolutely incredible, and the only trick is not to eat so many of them that you cannot eat the noodles. If you are new to the hand-pulled noodles, try their sliced beef soup. It’s beef shank with cilantro and scallions in a beef bone broth, served over their delicious noodles. We also highly recommend, if you can handle it, they’re hot pepper oil noodles. These are traditional in China and done very well at this restaurant.

Aki Sushi Bar and Grill

For great sushi or amazing Thai food, try this spot at 1828 Whittaker Rd. They’re in the Paint Creek Crossing and open from 11 am until 10 pm Monday and Wednesday through Friday and until 11 pm on Saturday. On Sunday, you can get food from noon until 9 pm. They are closed on Tuesdays.

When you’re full, come see us at Fischer Honda for the best in service or to find your next reliable ride among our new and used vehicles.
